The 5000 Year Leap: The 28 Great Ideas That Changed the World The 5000 Year Leap: The 28 Great Ideas That Changed the World by W. Cleon Skousen

My review

rating: 5 of 5 stars
A very interesting book, it starts out by briefly explaining how our constitution came about. The book then goes into 28 principals that are contained within the constitution. Besides the author's opinions, he quotes heavily from John Locke and the founding fathers. He also relates how these principals relate to what was happening in the United States at the time he wrote the book (1981, 2001).

Highly recommend this book to anyone that is concerned with our drift away from the original interpretation of the Constitution.
